On the 7th, Microsoft Corporation announced at the 22nd World Economic Forum East Asia Summit in Myanmar that it will expand its operations in Myanmar.
Microsoft selected Burma's largest software company Myanmar Information Technology (MIT) as a partner.
Jimmy Harper, general manager of Microsoft Southeast Asia, said, "I am optimistic about the future of Myanmar, science and technology will play a key role in the development of Myanmar."
Myanmar Information Technology Company was founded in 1997 and has 300 employees. Currently, Microsoft has more than 28,000 partners in the Asia Pacific region.
